Our Story

The Community Arts Council of Blount County is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the arts and humanities as a cultural contribution to the community.  Established in 1986, the Council encourages the advancement, participation, and integration of visual, literary, and performing arts into the fabric of the communities it serves.  The Council's efforts have included a large variety of events that include musical concerts, opera, poetry reading, talent shows, children's theatre, artists workshops and camps, public awareness, and even a haunting experience!

Thinking of Getting Involved? Volunteer!

Volunteers are needed and appreciated.  Several volunteer opportunities exist, from chairing a committee to working at a local event, acting in one of our productions, helping create scenery for one of our shows, assisting with publicity and promotion, soliciting sponsorships, and more.  For more information, please use the contact form below.
